Job description
Stopford, a market leader in local government software and booking solutions, is seeking a software tester to join our expert development team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by conducting thorough testing procedures and collaborating closely with the development team., * You will be working in a multi-discipline team to deliver highly functional solutions for clients ranging from local government organisations to SMEs
- You will be entrusted with production of testing plans and the quality of the product - Maintaining and developing new and old test plans.
- We encourage a collaborative approach within our development team and product rotation to encourage your role and skills to grow
- You will have the opportunity to work across both project orientated and new software development tasks.
- Write bug reports and provide objective feedback to software development project teams - Clear and concise bug reporting
- Review documentation - Providing feedback on upcoming projects.
- Work towards departmental and project deadlines
- Provide quality assurance
- Troubleshoot and problem solve
- Work within GIT/ .NET environments

Requirements

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills - thinking 'outside the box' mentality
- SQL experience is desirable
- Interested in learning to work within and develop Automation test suites (Python/ selenium currently used)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ambition to continue to grow the QA discipline and make it your own., * A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
