We're a diverse, mission-driven group from over 10 nationalities, working collaboratively and remotely across continents., We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and maintain the technical systems/infrastructures that support applications and services. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be part of the data and development team, ensuring that the technical foundation of our organisation is robust, scalable, and secure. What you'll do

  • Plan and design the architecture of systems (servers, GPU cluster, storage, networks) and make recommendations on hardware specifications, virtual machine types, and storage solutions.
  • Implement high availability and redundancy to prevent downtime.
  • Manage load balancers, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Monitor and optimise cloud spend (e.g., AWS EC2 instances, S3 storage).

Deployment & Configuration

  • Deploy servers, databases, and application platforms.
  • Configure systems, including operating systems, networking, and security settings.

Backup, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure business continuity in case of failures.
  • Plan and implement backup strategies for critical data.
  • Design disaster recovery procedures and test them regularly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years designing, deploying, and operating production infrastructure for compute- and data-intensive workloads (including GPU clusters for AI/ML).
  • Strong proficiency with Linux systems administration, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing), and security hardening.
  • Hands-on experience architecting in public cloud environments, preferably AWS. Exposure to GCP/ Azure is a plus.
  • Monitoring, logging, and tracing with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK/Opensearch, and distributed tracing (Jaeger/ Tempo).
  • Experience with security engineering practices (IAM least-privilege design, encryption at rest/in transit, vulnerability scanning and remediation).
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
