Job description
Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Web Cloud - Domains & DNS team to support the development of features across our Domains, DNS, and BookMyName products. Your mission will be to design, build, and maintain functionalities within this ecosystem in order to support the modernisation of our registrar platform and contribute to the emergence of our new Web Cloud ecosystem. YOUR FUTURE TEAM We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together. You will be part of a team of 6 people (5 IC + 1 EM), working closely with a Product Manager and fellow Software Engineers. The team operates in a highly technical environment, balancing feature development with maintenance linked to registrar activity. You will contribute to a roadmap focused on modernising our registrar, opening new TLDs, and accelerating the development of the Web Cloud ecosystem. The team values collaboration, resilience, and a positive mindset. Manager: Loïc Dreux YOUR DAILY ROUTINE Tasks
- Develop new features of varying size and complexity across Domains, DNS, and BookMyName
- Implement fixes and improvements to ensure product reliability and quality
- Participate in the N2 on-call rotation once implemented
- Contribute to daily agile ceremonies (daily meeting, sprint rituals)
- Ensure technical maintenance related to registrar activity
- Collaborate with the team on designing scalable and maintainable systems
- Take part in doctoring shifts to support production stability
- Work cross-functionally with engineering and product stakeholders
Requirements
Do you have experience in PostgreSQL?, * 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Experience working with FreeBSD or Linux environments
- Strong programming skills in PHP, Go, or PERL
- Solid understanding of MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with DNS technologies: PowerDNS, BIND, KnotDNS, CoreDNS
- Exposure to infrastructure-related work or web production environments
