Job description

We're looking for a talented, marketing-savvy Web Developer to join our dynamic in-house marketing team. Working exclusively on the two public-facing WordPress websites, you'll report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager, who will act as your key stakeholder and line manager. The majority of your work will be briefed, prioritised, and overseen by the Digital Marketing Manager, and you'll collaborate closely to ensure website improvements and new developments align with the strategic marketing goals. Responsibilities

  • Transform the current public-facing websites
  • Implement the search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy as defined by the Digital Marketing Manager with the goal of increasing web traffic and new client conversion to achieve ambitious growth targets
  • Support the marketing team to improve search engine optimisation (SEO), increase web traffic and new client conversion on the current public facing websites
  • Support the marketing team to optimise web pages for maximum speed, scalability and SEO
  • Use CSS, and HTML to develop visually impressive page designs - having a keen eye for detail is critical
  • Ensure all web pages are developed using 'Responsive' web design principles to ensure everything is 'mobile optimised'
  • Optimise web pages for maximum speed, scalability and SEO
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
  • Taking ownership of delivery of work assigned

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with other teams and team members
  • Involvement in solution design work

Requirements

Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Highly motivated individual with a passion for continuous improvement

  • Collaborative in nature and enjoys working with others, both in the office and with remote teams
  • Enjoys coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team
  • Shows initiative and can make pragmatic decisions
  • Have a strong passion for software engineering and other technology domains web development
  • Enjoys autonomy and is willing to take ownership of initiatives from inception to completion, * Proven experience with SEO best practices and implementation
  • Strong experience with WordPress and PHP
  • Proficient in core web development technologies including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Awareness of CI/CD principles and tooling, including Azure DevOps and Git
  • Solid understanding of software engineering standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with software and application architecture concepts
  • Experience with testing frameworks and a good understanding of testing best practices
  • Willingness to learn and engage with our Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure, including:
  • App Services
  • Logic Apps
  • Azure Functions
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL, including configuration, backup, and recovery processes
