Job description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated fire and security engineer to join our growing team of engineers working primarily across the central belt in Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Installation, reactive and preventative maintenance on fire and security systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards.
- Take part in local on call rota.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware and networking equipment.
- Read and interpret specifications, layout drawings and schematics for effective system installation and troubleshooting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging security technologies and best practices.
- Provide training and support to staff on security protocols and system usage.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have a valid Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Operator Certification - Categories 3A & 3B, International Powered Access Federation certification?, Do you have experience in Network engineering?, * Proven experience in a Security Engineer role or similar position.
- Strong understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
- Familiarity with power tools and electrical systems is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Relevant certifications and experience of enterprise level security systems are preferred but not essential. ZE Global are a certified partner of Lenel, Genetec, Milestone and Gallagher systems.
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and methodologies within the security field.
- Proficient in MS office range of products.
