Software Developer

The Software Developer will report to the IT Systems Development Manager as part of that team. The Software Developer will be responsible for implementing reports and integrations for Valu-Trac systems.

This role is based at our head office at Orton, Moray. Their key responsibilities for the role include:

• Work as part of the VT software development team
• Work closely with VT Subject Matter Experts (SME) to understand the business requirements.
• Timely development of solutions to meet the business requirements
• Assisting with solution testing
• Communicating work progress and results to stakeholders
• Ensuring that solutions are implemented effectively and deliver the desired results
• Assisting with training and the documentation for ongoing support of developed solutions
• Any other relevant duties appropriate to the level of responsibility of this role

Valu-Trac was founded in 1985 and provides a range of services to investment funds, including portfolio management, trading, valuations and registrar services to 135 funds, with assets under management of £17.3bn in March 2025. As part of its role as ACD, Valu-Trac provides accounting and administrative services for funds supported by the Fund Operations team. The Fund Operations team are responsible for the pricing of funds and supporting shareholders through transfer agency activities.
