Job description

We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen and evolve our cyber security posture across the organisation. This is a hands-on role responsible for cyber policies, security configuration, vulnerability management, incident response, compliance frameworks and maintaining a strong culture of staff cyber awareness. As a key member of our Business Technology Group (BTG), you'll contribute to our cybersecurity roadmap and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure.

What will your day look like…

Deploying and tuning security configurations including technical security policies, device management, EDR, IAM and DLP in line with evolving standards.

Managing security alerts and incidents, phishing attempts, quarantined emails and DLP alerts, working closely with the SOC.

Supporting incident response planning, running simulation exercises and ensuring recovery processes are tested and documented.

Supporting secure onboarding and offboarding, ensuring access to systems and devices is provisioned and removed appropriately.

Driving compliance with security frameworks including Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and future adoption of CAF, NIST or ISO 27001.

Leading our cybersecurity awareness programme, ensuring staff have access to relevant training and developing a strong security-first culture across IT delivery.

Maintaining the cyber risk register and ensuring mitigation actions are completed.

Requirements

Strong understanding of security engineering, security analysis, security architecture, threat intelligence and incident response.

Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and related compliance frameworks.

Knowledge of regulatory environments including GDPR.

Professional certification such as CISSP or CISM (or willingness to achieve in role).

Knowledge or experience of CAF, NIST, ISO 27001 or similar frameworks.
