  • Strong foundation in networking (routing, switching, load balancing, VPN, DNS), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage architectures.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure security including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Practical experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
  • Experience with high-availability design, disaster recovery planning, backup technologies, and capacity planning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical options and trade-offs to varied stakeholder groups.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Infrastructure/architecture certifications including TOGAF, CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP.
