Job description
You will be an integral part of the Crusade Technical Team working from our office providing support and technical services to our customers around the Midlands.
You will be working on a variety of operating systems and hardware. This role will involve working on projects and support tickets for our customers. The post holder will promote the highest customer service standards, ensuring the most effective use of resources.
This role will approximately be a 50/50 split between onsite work and our office, there will also be a requirement for some out-of-hours work when necessary., Working within a team dedicated to supporting Microsoft desktop and server operating systems including hardware. Dealing with technical incidents and requests from our customers. Escalation from other Engineers. Professionally support all customers. Respond effectively and appropriately to all customer requests and enquiries. Complete work to agreed time scales. Undertake any other duties that may be required by Crusade.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in WordPress?, Microsoft Windows 10 / 11 Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory, DHCP, DNS & Group Policy. Microsoft 365 - Entra, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange & Intune. Cloud Hosting - Azure, AWS Virtual Technologies - Hyper-V & VMware. Network Management - TCP/IP, L3 routing, VLAN, WAN Firewall Management - WatchGuard Backup & Disaster Recovery - Hornet Security Datto Email filtering platforms. Wireless technologies. Endpoint Security - ESET and WatchGuard Emails Branding - Exclaimer and CodeTwo. Network Cabling Web-based CMS - WordPress etc.. Apple Mac
What working characteristics should this person have?
3+ years' experience in an senior engineer or similar role. Willingness to learn new technologies. Experience in a customer-facing role with an attitude to match. Enthusiastic about technology Ability to speak in plain language to stakeholders across all levels of an organisation. Can demonstrate sound judgement to undertake complex tasks. Able to deal with issues calmly when under pressure. Demonstrates a variety of people skills. Ability to establish positive and productive working relationships. Effectively engage and communicate with others. Always remain approachable and professional. Able to work flexibly, including responding to high-level service issues outside of core hours. Able to travel to various locations within a reasonable timescale to support the requirements of the company.
