Cloud & Infrastructure Architect - 6 Month FTC

We are seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Architect to join our Enterprise IT team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to shape the foundations of our global technology landscape, blending modern cloud solutions with the resilience of on-premises infrastructure. As a Cloud & Infrastructure Architect, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions that support the organisation's global technology strategy. Working closely with the Lead Technical Architect (Cloud & Infrastructure), you will help define architectures spanning Azure, AWS, VMware, and hybrid environments, ensuring they are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise standards.

This secondment provides an excellent opportunity for career development, offering exposure to complex, enterprise-level technology projects and architectural governance, * Shape and execute Burberry's Cloud & Infrastructure strategy across on-premises and cloud platforms.

• Design end-to-end architectures for Azure, AWS, and VMware data centres, covering compute, storage, backup, and networking.
• Drive modernisation and migration initiatives, enabling hybrid models that support global operations.
• Develop secure, resilient network designs-WAN, LAN, VPN, and cloud interconnects.
• Collaborate with architects across domains to ensure integration and consistency.
• Champion automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deliver efficiency and agility.
• Provide technical assurance and governance for enterprise-level projects.

• Experienced in cloud and infrastructure architecture (3-5 years), with hybrid environments expertise.
• Skilled in Azure and/or AWS, VMware, and network design principles.
• Familiar with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
• Collaborative and communicative, able to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Certifications in cloud or infrastructure (Azure, AWS, VMware, Cisco) are a plus.
