Job description

We are seeking a skilled WaaS Engineer with deep expertise in Citrix technologies to join our End-User Computing team. In this role, you will design, implement, optimise, and support our Workplace-as-a-Service (WaaS) platform-enabling secure, reliable, and scalable virtual desktop and application delivery to users worldwide. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Cloud, and related technologies, as well as a strong understanding of Microsoft infrastructure and automation practices.

The Roles Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Citrix-based WaaS solutions, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, Citrix Gateway, and Citrix StoreFront.

  • Manage and optimise user environments, profiles, and policies to ensure a seamless digital workspace experience.

  • Integrate WaaS solutions with supporting technologies such as Active Directory, Azure, FSLogix, Intune, and Microsoft 365.

  • Monitor performance and proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues using Citrix Director, Citrix Analytics, and other monitoring tools.

  • Collaborate with network, security, and cloud engineering teams to ensure WaaS platform performance, scalability, and compliance.

  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, or similar tools.

  • Support migrations from on-premises Citrix deployments to Citrix Cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Document configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.

  • Stay current with Citrix roadmap updates, best practices, and industry trends to recommend continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Citrix engineering and administration

  • Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Cloud, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM).

  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Windows 10/11 multi-session.

  • Familiarity with FSLogix profile containers and user data management.

  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex end-user computing environments.

  • Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V).

  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Azure, and M365 integration.

  • Knowledge of VDI performance monitoring and capacity planning tools.

  • Exposure to Zero Trust, security hardening, and multi-factor authentication in Citrix environments.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management practices.
