Job description

In details, the position encompasses duties and responsibilities as follows: The Senior Application Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of front-office applications and interfaces that underpin the company's commodities trading operations. This role acts as a key bridge between business users, development teams, and infrastructure functions, providing deep technical expertise and domain understanding to deliver robust application support and continuous improvement initiatives.

The individual will work within a dynamic application support team, maintaining critical trading systems, identifying opportunities for automation, and driving operational excellence. By leveraging in-depth knowledge of both the business processes and the technical architecture, the Senior Application Support Technical Lead ensures high availability of trading platforms, timely issue resolution, and strategic input into system enhancements., Provide day-to-day L1/L2 production support to traders, risk managers, and operations users. Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues across Front, Middle, and Back Office. Support end-to-end trade lifecycle ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency. Manage release and deployment cycles, including environment validation and post-deployment testing. Perform incident and problem management, root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. Create and maintain detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base documentation. Liaise with business users, developers, infrastructure, and vendors to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues. Manage and support applications hosted in Microsoft Azure, including but not limited to: Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL / Cosmos DB, Azure Application Gateway

Requirements

Do you have experience in Splunk?, Key Skills , Technical Leadership & Development Essential Proven experience in application support within a commodities trading environment (preferably oil & gas). Hands-on expertise with Endur (OpenLink) including configuration, trade workflow understanding, and integration. In-depth knowledge of Endur architecture, core modules, and integration workflows. Strong understanding of: EOD workflows and risk simulation results Front/Middle/Back Office trade lifecycle APM, TPM, Connex, UDSR, Report Builder Experience with job scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M) and monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics). Strong technical proficiency in: SQL and database query optimization
