Job description
We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems for factory automation, cell control, and vision inspection using Golang and React. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of software applications that control and optimize factory operations, including robotics, machine vision, and data analytics. Design, develop, and maintain software systems for factory automation, cell control, and vision inspection using Golang and React

lead a lean team of developers and coordinate development across multiple regions team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality, to identify and prioritize project requirements

own multiple factory software application for Berlin site and responsible for high availability, faster sla and help address immediate issue & escalation from business .

Develop and implement technical roadmaps, architectures, and standards for factory automation and vision inspection software

Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure high-quality code

Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on software development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards

Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to factory automation and vision inspection software

Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software systems

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and factory automation and vision inspection ecosystem developments
Requirements
- 5+ years in software development for factory automation, cell control, and vision inspection.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and lead software development across multi-region teams.
- Strong understanding of Golang and React, including Golang's concurrency model and React's component lifecycle.
- Proficiency with factory automation protocols, including OPC-UA, Modbus, and EtherCAT.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Proficiency with cloud-based technologies, including a strong understanding of containerization using Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
Nice to have:
- Proficiency with robotics programming, including ROS and robot operating systems.
- Knowledge of computer vision algorithms, including object detection, tracking, and recognition.
- Proficiency with data analytics and machine learning libraries, including TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with security best practices and secure coding techniques.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
