Job description

Our international client is on the lookout for a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer with SQL knowledge. What you'll do

  • Design, develop, maintain and optimize robust and scalable IT platforms, with a focus on cloud (mainly Azure) services, to meet business needs and performance standards.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using terraform
  • Develop and maintain programs, including stored procedures, functions, and queries, to support various business needs.
  • Review and improve code written by other team members to ensure best practices and performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell for automation, Azure modules and error handling.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, security concepts, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure Data and MS-SQL technologies + services and best practices, advising on their implementation., * Hybrid working model with 2/3 days per week in the beautiful office in the centre of Barcelona or Madrid.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge in Terraform and Azure Services incl. Azure Synapse.
  • Skilled in Bash and PowerShell scripting, with solid understanding of JSON and YAML.
  • Exposure to Python, networking, and security hardening is a plus.
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions for version control and automation.
  • Confident communicator and problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
