Job description

A thriving and forward-thinking secondary school in Salisbury is seeking an organised, technically confident and customer-focused IT Technician to join their ICT Support Team. This full-time, permanent role begins January 2026, supporting the school's staff and students with day-to-day ICT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Providing frontline technical support for hardware, software and network issues
  • Maintaining devices including desktops, laptops, tablets and classroom IT
  • Supporting interactive boards, projectors and AV equipment
  • Troubleshooting connectivity, user accounts and permissions
  • Assisting with system updates, installations and ICT development projects
  • Documenting support issues and contributing to efficient helpdesk management
  • Supporting whole-school digital initiatives and technical rollouts

Requirements

  • IT support experience (school experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, networks and device maintenance
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
  • Relevant IT qualifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) desirable
