Job description

The IT Systems Administrator will provide day-to-day IT support, delivering 2nd and 3rd line technical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of systems and services. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, supporting infrastructure and security systems, and working closely with the IT team and stakeholders to improve IT processes and performance., * Provide day-to-day IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues to ensure smooth operation of IT services.

  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and handle support requests, escalating issues where necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Deliver 2nd and 3rd line support, providing technical advice, documentation, and resolving complex or escalated technical issues.
  • Work closely with the IT Support team, IT Infrastructure Engineer, and key business stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective IT solutions.
  • Support the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, hardware, networking, and related infrastructure.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve IT systems, tools, processes, and overall organisational performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing processes, controls, and recommending enhancements or new technologies.
  • Assist with the monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT security systems and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure best practices are followed across IT operations.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal customers and key stakeholders.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Warehouse management system?, * Proven experience in IT support, with strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting a wide range of hardware and software issues, including operating systems, productivity tools, collaboration platforms, and business applications.
  • Strong 2nd/3rd line support capability, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience maintaining system dashboards and reports, such as Intune compliance, Microsoft 365 health, and backup reporting.
  • Proactive approach to monitoring critical systems, including networks, servers, and SaaS applications.
  • Sound understanding of network configuration and maintenance.
  • Experience supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of security controls and compliance frameworks (e.g. Cyber Essentials+, ISO 27001, NHS DSPT).
  • Methodical and detail-oriented approach to problem resolution, solution design, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service focus, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with cloud and infrastructure technologies, including Azure, VMware, network infrastructure, security, HPE, and SD-WAN.
  • Experience using image deployment tools and supporting hardware rollouts and device provisioning.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve business efficiency.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint PowerApps and Power Automate (Flows).
  • Experience supporting ERP or business systems, such as CRM or warehouse management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Cyber Essentials accreditation.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based telephony systems, such as Mitel.
  • Ability to train and support staff on technical solutions in both one-to-one and group settings.
