Job description

We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team, working US hours to give us coverage across our customer base. You'll ship features across our platform: integrations with major publishers, our customer dashboard, content parsing pipelines, and proofs of concept that push what Apple News can do. On any given day you might be building a liveblog integration for a global sports brand, debugging a delivery issue during a breaking news story, or prototyping something new with a feature Apple has just released to us. We expect you to be fluent with AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent) and to use them daily, for writing code, reviewing PRs, triaging bugs and finding ways to ship faster. Requirements

Must-haves:4+ years commercial experience as a developerStrong Node.js and React, with deep modern JavaScript fundamentalsDaily, practical use of AI coding tools in your workflowSolid grasp of HTML5, modern CSS, and DOM manipulationAWS experience: deployment, configuration, sensible operational instinctsComfortable in git workflows and agile teamsUS hours availability (9am-5pm PT, equivalent to 5pm-1am UK) Nice-to-haves: Publishing or media backgroundExperience with content parsing (Cheerio or similar)MongoDBExposure to Apple News Format (we'll train you regardless)
