Job description
Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Database Administration Senior Advisor for the Tampa, FL location responsible for full lifecycle database administration including design, setup, monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recovery, cloning, migrations.
Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and support production databases across cloud and on-premises environments.

Collaborate on cloud-native architecture for mobile backends and microservices.
-
Ensure database security, integrity, and availability using user management, auditing, profiling, authentication, and encryption.
-
Conduct performance tuning at database, OS, and network levels.
-
Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
-
Participate in data modeling, logical/physical design, and application development.
-
Middleware and OLAP integration.
-
Configure databases to work with middleware, web servers, and OLAP tools
-
Maintain documentation in Confluence and SharePoint.

Provide 24/7 production support and log tasks in Jira and ServiceNow., * Must have experience with: Providing DBA support for Oracle 19c, 18c, 12c, 11g and Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c(OEM) databases;

Installation, setup, and configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c and monitoring databases;

Installation, configuration and monitoring of MongoDB;
-
Installation, configuration, and monitoring of PostgreSQL;
-
Creating, configuring, and monitoring Hive and Kudu databases in Cloudera Hadoop;
-
Data modeling and database logical and physical design;
-
Managing Oracle 19c, 18c, 12c & 11g environments on Linux and Exadata with features for data partitioning, RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate Replication;

Exadata X8, X7, X6-2;
-
Upgrading databases from 12c/18c to 19c;
-
Setting up Oracle high availability (RAC- Real Application Cluster and ASM-Automatic Storage Management) on Oracle and Red hat Linux platforms;

Providing 24*7 production database support for all databases using Linux, DB tools and technologies;

Configuring Hot/Cold Backup, Recovery, and Cloning of databases using RMAN with VERITAS Net Backup;
-
Recovering databases in case of disaster incidents using RMAN level-0 backups, Standby databases or Fast Recovery Area;
-
Ensuring availability, security and integrity of assigned databases;
-
Documenting best practices and troubleshooting documents in a central repository;
-
Configuring database server to work with middleware, web servers and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP);
-
ZDLRA; PL/SQL; Ansible; and
-
Code reviews of database objects.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in any database administration role. Will also accept a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
