Job description
- Drive algorithm development and implementation in spatial audio, psychoacoustics, and other audio related fields including HRTF (capture, synthesis, personalization), Ambisonics, loudspeaker rendering, and more
- Develop requirements based on research or user input and assist with platform integration
- Systems level multi-threaded programming and debugging using C and C++
- Collaborate with international counterparts to contribute to PlayStation's Tempest 3D Audio technology and our greater audio ecosystem
Requirements
- 5 years or more of digital signal processing experience
- Proficient in: C/C++, Python
- Experience as a technical contributor to a project involving spatial audio
- Solid understanding of basic acoustic and psychoacoustic principles
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Nice-to-Have:
- Basic source control experience (git)
- Knowledge of audio production tools and software (e.g. Reaper, VST Development)
- Embedded systems development
- Graphics or GPU programming experience
- ML/AI modeling and training experience
- Experience in developing novel audio technologies

$193,300-$289,900 USD
