Job description
The City of Middletown is accepting resumes for the position of Network Administrator. The position is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing management of the City's network infrastructure, including local area networks (LANs), wireless networks (WLANs), wide area networks (WANs), and cloud connectivity. This position serves as a primary defender of the City's digital assets, integrating cybersecurity principles into every aspect of network operations. This role requires proactive threat identification, incident response capabilities, and regulatory compliance enforcement, including CJIS, NIST, and applicable federal, state, and local mandates. The Network & Security Administrator will collaborate across departments, mentor junior staff, and serve as a technical escalation point for complex network and security issues.
Requirements
Requirements: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in network administration and/or network security; OR an accredited two-year degree with coursework in Information Systems or Cybersecurity and seven (7) years of relevant experience; OR any equivalent combination of training, certifications, and experience that demonstrates the following knowledge, abilities, and skills. A valid Ohio driver's license is required.
