Job description
A Job Costing Data Analyst uses financial data to track, analyze, and optimize costs for specific projects, comparing estimated vs. actual expenses (labor, materials, overhead) to improve profitability, identify inefficiencies, and provide insights for better resource allocation and strategic decisions, requiring strong analytical, accounting, and software skills (Excel, ERP systems)., * Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze costs for individual jobs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Profitability Assessment: Determine profit margins by comparing job costs to revenue.
- Variance Analysis: Identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs.
- Reporting: Create reports and dashboards for management with actionable insights.
- Forecasting: Provide cost data for financial projections and budgeting.
- Process Improvement: Recommend cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies., * Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
- Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
- Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Requirements
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Global Shop Solutions).
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for precise cost tracking and data integrity.
- Communication: Ability to present findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or 5 years of experience in similar role.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Hours of Operation:
Normal business hours: 7:00AM - 4:00PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership.
