Graduate Design Engineer

My client, a specialist assembly and manufacturing business are on the hunt for an tenacious Manager to join the team!, In this role, the Junior Design Engineer will take ownership of drawing/BOM updates, change pack creation, data hygiene, documentation and provide structured support to New Product Development and NPI Activities.

Other responsibilities include:

• Produce and update 3D models and 2D drawings to company standards
• Create and maintain BOM structures (new assemblies and sustaining updates)
• Track actions and ensure engineering documentation is complete before release
• Draft first versions of work instructions, test report shells, assembly notes, supplier pack cover sheets and other engineering documents

Experience or Qualifications - Graduate Design Engineer

• Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Experience with CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo or similar) and producing production drawings
• Familiarity with BOMs/ERP concepts (beneficial, not essential)
• Any exposure to manufacturing processes (welding, assembly, machining etc..)
