Job description

This is an opportunity to work on real-world AI applications in advanced imaging systems used in areas such as:

  • thermal imaging
  • industrial inspection
  • night vision
  • machine vision
  • embedded imaging systems

You will join a highly innovative R&D environment where AI/ML is becoming a key driver for next-generation imaging technologies.

You will work on:

  • AI/ML models for image enhancement and object detection
  • Computer vision algorithms for advanced imaging applications including object tracking, image enhancement and intelligent feature extraction
  • Denoising, contrast enhancement and feature extraction
  • Development of production-grade algorithms
  • Real-time AI inference and optimization for embedded imaging systems
  • Optimization of models for embedded systems
  • Collaboration with software, hardware and camera engineering teams
  • Evaluation and implementation of state-of-the-art AI approaches

Requirements

Are you currently finishing your PhD in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision or Image Processing and looking to move into an industrial high-tech environment?, * Recently completed or soon-to-be-finished PhD in AI, Marchine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, or similar

  • Strong programming skills (Python and/or C++)
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Hands-on experience with computer vision, image processing or imaging-related AI applications
  • Experience with embedded systems is a plus
  • Interest in applied industrial R&D
  • Fluent English skills. Other European languages are a plus (e.g. Dutch, French, German)
  • Curious, analytical, self-critical, and hands-on, pragmatic mindset
