Job description
This role will support the Deputy Director of Finance and Procurement (Procure to Pay) by overseeing the day-to-day management of the financial systems and infrastructure, ensuring that it meets University requirements and supports statutory compliance. This role will work collaboratively with the Transactions team to support the Financial Systems Team in meeting their objectives.
The role will work closely with University departments to provide guidance on financial systems usage, streamline processes, and ensure continuous improvement across the University in respect of Corporate Finance System functionality and integration.
The working pattern for this post is full time, however we may be able to consider reduced hours for the right candidate.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.
The interviews are currently anticipated to be held virtually on 05 June 2026
This appointment is a fixed-term contract until 17 December 2027.

Salary Information: New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe.
