Modular Design Engineer

• Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for modular systems, components, and assemblies.
• Develop accurate technical drawings, layouts, and schematics based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, and Project Teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
• Modify and revise drawings based on feedback, site conditions, and client specifications.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Support manufacturing or construction teams with design clarifications and updates.
• Maintain organised documentation of drawings, revisions, and project files.
• Assist in material selection and cost-effective design solutions.
• Conduct site visits within the workshop or at fabrication workshops (if required) to gather measurements or validate designs to As-built.

Currently seeking an experienced Modular Design Engineer on a permanent staff basis for an EPC service provider based in Aberdeen. The Modular Design Engineer will design, develop and optimise modular systems and components using AutoCAD and 3D Autodesk Inventor software. The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience in CAD design, modular construction and product systems, and a solid understanding of DNV standards., * A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or another similar field is essential.

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Previous modular design experience is essential.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks is essential.
• Applicants should have a strong understanding of modular design principles and construction/ manufacturing processes.
• Experience of reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications is essential.
• Proficiency in drafting standards and detailing is essential.
