Job description

This is an individual contributor role for engineers who are passionate about cloud-native development and eager to grow their technical expertise while contributing to impactful projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, implement, test, deploy, and operate services that support Oracle's enterprise cloud platform.

We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving technical challenges, learning new technologies, and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.

We own our applications - we deploy and operate them, and we see them being used daily by our customers.

Ideal candidates will have experience building and supporting scalable distributed systems and an interest in cloud-native technologies and modern software engineering practices.

We embrace AI-assisted development as part of our engineering workflow and encourage engineers to use modern AI tools to improve productivity and accelerate delivery. At the same time, engineers are expected to maintain full ownership and responsibility for the design, implementation, quality, security, and operation of the software they build.

Our team is primarily remote and spread across the US, India, and Europe. We work closely together using Agile methodologies and leverage Slack and Zoom for day-to-day collaboration and communication.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar

  • Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly

  • Experience working in Agile development environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in functional programming concepts

  • Familiarity with Scala, ZIO, Akka, or similar technologies

  • Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native application development
