Job description
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure platforms with a strong focus on compute, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure architecture. This role works across on premises and hybrid environments and collaborates closely with networking, security, and application teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions., Compute, Storage & Virtualization

Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS, PKI)

Design, deploy and support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, including provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting

Administer HPE GreenLake infrastructure including Nimble Storage Arrays
-
Perform system hardening, audits, and vulnerability remediation
-
Support lifecycle management (firmware, OS upgrades, patching, decommissioning)

Manage disaster recovery processes, backups, and restores
-
Monitor and maintain the health of on-premises and cloud infrastructure using tools like PRTG and Azure Monitor, proactively analyzing alerts and performance data to ensure system stability, availability, and optimal service delivery
Infrastructure Design & Architecture
- Participate in the design and architecture of infrastructure solutions, including:
o New data center builds or expansions
o Platform refreshes
o High-availability and DR designs

Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, standards, and design documentation.

Ensure designs align with security, resiliency, and operations best practices.
Cloud Platforms (Azure & AWS)

Build, configure, and troubleshoot Azure and AWS core infrastructure, including virtual machines/EC2 instances, Azure Virtual Desktop, networking components, and cloud storage resources

Manage application and data platform services across Azure and AWS, including SSO and Entra ID Enterprise Applications, App Services, Container Apps, Azure AI Foundry, Databricks, and PostgreSQL, ensuring secure integration with Key Vault and multi-cloud storage solutions (Azure Blob, Azure Files, Amazon S3, EFS, EBS)

Support disaster recovery and high-availability strategies, ensuring resilience, scalability, and continuity across cloud workloads
Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Management

Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID)

Support the management of Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance, and security baselines across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android

Support Autopilot provisioning and modern device lifecycle management

Operational Excellence & Leadership

Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to evaluate, implement, and integrate new technologies and enterprise solutions

Support the Infrastructure Team's Senior Architect by contributing technical insights, validating designs, and assisting with the integration of new systems and processes

Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of services, from design and implementation through operations and optimization

Develop documentation, standards, runbooks, and architectural diagrams
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with significant Azure and Windows Server focus.

Expert-level Azure IaaS experience including Virtual Machines, RBAC, and Entra ID.

Advanced Windows Server expertise including builds, hardening, clustering, and troubleshooting.

Deep knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory architecture.

Strong PowerShell automation skills.

Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives.

Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and re-prioritize as necessary to align with current business.

Strong experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V, including provisioning, performance troubleshooting, and lifecycle operations
-
Senior level understanding of core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, authentication, and identity integrations with cloud services
-
Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and identity/security configurations
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Intune for device compliance, application deployment, and modern device management
-
Experience managing or supporting enterprise storage platforms, such as HPE Nimble (or other SAN technologies)
-
Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation, configuration, and administrative tasks
-
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities, and deliver solutions aligned with business needs

Understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)

Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT ticketing system platform
-
Experience with SQL Server administration or troubleshooting is desirable - Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent).

Experience with HITRUST security framework and familiarity with the HITRUST certification process strongly preferred.
-
Background in Zero Trust and privileged access strategies.
Benefits & conditions
Pay rate: 60-70/hr. with a 130-180k annual salary upon conversion
