Job description
You will lead a technology team building modern billing and payment applications using current technologies in an open, agile environment. You will drive delivery, code reviews, quality, and continuous improvement while collaborating across development, operations, project management and account teams to ensure efficient client implementations.
What you'll do
- Hands-on technical lead working with DEV teams to support the deliverables.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle for a group of developers and testers in an agile environment.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external partners during implementations to ensure critical issues receive prompt management attention.
- Lead teams to implement clients in a time-driven, efficient manner and be accountable for the technical quality, security and defect-free delivery of work in your domain.
- Mentor technical staff during projects; work with each resource to define career paths and identify appropriate training. Responsible for hiring, training, staff development, performance appraisals, corrective action and pay review of technical personnel.
- Coordinate with internal Fiserv groups (Development, Database Engineering, Project Management, Account Management, Distributed Systems Operations, Network Engineering) to identify and implement improvements to the client implementation process.
- Develop and establish department standards and procedures; recommend efficient practices for implementing new or upgraded products, and evaluate/report progress and results., * This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of professional experience in Information Technology lead role.
- Previous Technology leadership experience required (Software architecture, solution design, code review, best practices, leading teams).
- 6+ years' experience developing Microservices and leading teams building microservices-based architectures.
- 5+ years' experience in relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle), SSRS, HTML, XML, FTP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to determine implementation approach/methodology for assigned projects based on established guidelines and to develop an appropriate strategy to meet objectives.
- Experience with J2EE, Spring, Azure cloud, IBM MQ, Microservices/APIs and Kafka.
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
Experience that would be great to have
- Experience working in the Financial Services industry or specifically with Fiserv products and services is a strong plus.
- Good understanding of Technical troubleshooting methodology, * You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Benefits & conditions
$109,000.00 - $182,400.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company's sole discretion.
