Job description
Penmac Staffing is hiring a Help Desk Technician to support our employees and internal users across the organization. As a Help Desk Technician, you are the first point of contact when technology issues arise. You'll provide technical support and guidance while helping employees stay productive and connected.
This role blends troubleshooting, customer service, and technology support. One minute you're helping an employee resolve a software issue. The next, you're setting up equipment for a new hire or responding to a help desk ticket. It's fast-paced, problem-solving focused, and a critical part of keeping our business running smoothly.
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00 DOE

What You'll Do
- Resolve help desk service calls using documented procedures.
- Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming phone calls, emails, voicemails, and in-person requests for technical assistance.
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, and system issues.
- Set up computers, equipment, operating systems, and software for employee use.
- Monitor and respond to requests received through the IT help desk.
- Escalate issues when appropriate and follow through to resolution.
- Support IT team members with projects and day-to-day technical support activities.
- Document support requests and maintain accurate records.
- Provide friendly, professional support to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Ticketing system technical support?, * Help desk or technical support experience preferred.
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to support users remotely and in person.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Ability to learn and navigate Penmac systems and software.
- Working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Microsoft Office applications
- Active Directory
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Software installation and configuration
- Imaging and deployment processes
- General technical troubleshooting and customer support
