Job description
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide front-line support for internal staff and related technology systems. The IT Support Engineer will also be responsible for IT-related administrative duties, including user / account support, process documentation, inventory, auditing technical processes and user accounts, and asset management and procurement. The successful candidate will be an engaging, support- and security-minded person who provides timely support and is keenly aware of the changing needs of the company and user base.
What You'll Do:
Device & Equipment Management
- Configure, deploy and maintain laptops, desktops and mobile devices (phones, tablets), including device enrollment/management and compliance monitoring
- Support the deployment and maintenance of network elements (routers, firewalls, switches, etc.)
- License, install and maintain software across managed endpoints
- Support and maintain computer peripherals, including monitors, mice, docking stations and printers
Support & Training
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across laptops, desktops and mobile devices
- Provide end-user support with a positive, patient approach that builds trust and confidence across the organization
- Train and coach staff on technology tools, IT policies and best practices for productivity and security
- Participate in ongoing security awareness training; maintain a current, working knowledge of the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape
- Apply Zero Trust principles in day-to-day activities and support the enforcement and administration of cybersecurity policies and practices
Documentation & Standards
- Create, maintain and continuously improve IT process documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Follow and enforce IT standards, policies and confidentiality guidelines
- Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing within the IT team
Communication & Collaboration
- Build positive working relationships and communicate clearly with staff at all levels, including non-technical users and leadership
What You'll Bring
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area, or 2 years of equivalent work experience
- Understanding of Windows operating system and Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure components (firewalls, switches, access points, routers, gateways, etc.)
- Security-conscious mindset with awareness of common threats and best practices, including email phishing and social engineering attacks, credential theft and insider threats
- Must perform tasks with integrity, competence, care and attention to detail, and demonstrate good judgment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
- Basic understanding of cloud service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, etc.)
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience administering Microsoft SharePoint
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Methodologies
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and mobile device management
