Market Data Systems Engineer

The Market Data Infrastructure & Support Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the firm's Market Data and Electronic Trading platforms. This role provides hands-on production support, infrastructure management, system monitoring, and project delivery while partnering with business users, vendors, and technology teams to ensure the reliable delivery of market data services. The position plays a key role in maintaining system stability, enhancing platform performance, and implementing scalable solutions that support business growth., Production Support & Operations:

• Provide day-to-day support for Market Data platforms and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve market data issues (DACS, TREP/RTDS, Bloomberg, etc.).
• Create and track support tickets through Jira.
• Perform system restarts and operational maintenance activities.
• Monitor infrastructure health and ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Maintain support documentation and troubleshooting guides.

Market Data Infrastructure Management:

• Manage Market Data and Electronic Trading infrastructure environments.
• Monitor and maintain backend market data systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and platform enhancements.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient.
• Maintain system redundancy, connectivity, and operational effectiveness.

Market Data Content Management:

• Ensure the quality and integrity of real-time, end-of-day, and security master data.
• Partner with market data vendors and internal teams to implement new services.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of market data across the organization.

Monitoring, Documentation & Compliance:

• Develop and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting processes.
• Produce system health, utilization, and performance reports.
• Create and maintain technical documentation within Confluence.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation and evidence.

Project Delivery & System Enhancements:

• Lead and support Market Data and Electronic Trading projects.
• Coordinate with business users, infrastructure teams, developers, and vendors.
• Gather requirements and provide design and implementation recommendations.
• Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and status reporting.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements.
• Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.

• 5-9 years of experience supporting Market Data environments.
• Strong understanding of Market Data infrastructure, design, engineering, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-starter with strong ownership and problem-solving abilities.
