Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive IT Support Assistant to join our internal IT team based at our Head Office in Segensworth, Fareham.

This is a hands-on and varied role providing first-line support to users across the business while gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies and business systems. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of our IT infrastructure, assist with projects and system improvements, and help ensure our users receive excellent technical support.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their IT career in a supportive environment with exposure to Microsoft 365, networking, business systems, security systems, and IT infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support via phone, email and ticketing systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network-related issues
  • Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals
  • Assist with user account administration and Microsoft 365 support
  • Support printers, scanners, telephony and other business systems
  • Maintain IT documentation and asset records
  • Assist with IT projects, system upgrades and new technology deployments
  • Provide friendly and professional support to users across the business
  • Escalate complex issues where appropriate and follow through to resolution

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience supporting laptops, desktops and peripherals
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks

Desirable Skills

  • Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
  • Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Mobile device management
  • PowerShell
  • Business systems such as Microsoft Business Central or Shopify
  • Security systems including CCTV and access control
