Contract UX Designer - Healthcare SaaSRemote (UK & Ireland) | 3+ Month Contract | Strong Extension Potential€350 p/d | £300 p/d - Outside IR35 We're looking for a Contract UX Designer to help shape a suite of new healthcare software products from the ground up. This is not a redesign or legacy modernisation project - you'll be designing entirely new product modules that solve complex operational and compliance challenges for healthcare teams. You'll take MVP requirements and acceptance criteria and rapidly turn them into user flows, wireframes, and clickable prototypes that engineers can build from immediately. Working closely with Product and Engineering, you'll own the design process from concept through delivery, iterating based on user feedback and real-world usage. What You'll Be DoingDesign end-to-end workflows for new SaaS product modulesTranslate written specifications into build-ready designs and prototypesCreate user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed screen statesDesign beyond the happy path, including permissions, edge cases, error states, and empty statesWork closely with engineers throughout delivery, refining designs as products are builtExtend and work within an existing design systemDesign responsive experiences across desktop and mobileContribute to user testing and continuous product improvement
Requirements
What We're Looking ForProven experience designing SaaS products in fast-moving startup or scale-up environmentsStrong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design and business-logic-heavy applicationsExperience taking written requirements or acceptance criteria and turning them into production-ready designsAdvanced Figma skills and rapid prototyping capabilityStrong understanding of design systems and component-based designComfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirementsExcellent collaboration skills with Product and Engineering teams RequiredExperience using AI-powered tools within your design workflow (e.g. Figma AI, v0, Claude, Codex or similar)Ability to move quickly from concept to clickable prototypeExperience designing permission-based workflows, forms, and operational software Nice to HaveHealthcare, compliance, risk, quality, or regulated industry experienceMulti-tenant SaaS experienceIncident reporting, audit, governance, or workflow product experienceInterest in AI-native product experiences and workflow automation Contract Details3+ month initial contractStrong likelihood of extensionRemote-firstStart date: July 2026 If you're a hands-on Product/UX Designer who enjoys solving complex workflow problems and shipping quickly alongside engineers, we'd love to hear from you.
