Job description
We are looking for a data-driven Product Owner / Business Analyst to lead innovation within a growing Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and eCommerce ecosystem. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of customer experience, digital product strategy, and consumer data analytics.
In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, engineering, analytics, and eCommerce to deliver impactful product enhancements, optimize customer journeys, and unlock insights that drive measurable business growth.
What You'll DoProduct Ownership & Strategy
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with DTC business goals
- Define and communicate product roadmaps in partnership with stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Drive Agile ceremonies and ensure efficient, iterative product delivery
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage consumer data, segmentation, and lifecycle insights to guide strategy
- Analyze customer behavior to identify growth opportunities and UX improvements
- Monitor performance using KPIs, dashboards, and analytics tools
- Lead experimentation initiatives including A/B testing and personalization strategies
Platform Integration & Optimization
- Drive integration and performance across key platforms:
- Customer Data Platforms (CDP)
- CRM and marketing automation tools
- eCommerce systems and digital storefronts
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and consistency across all systems
- Partner with engineering teams and external vendors to deliver scalable solutions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment
- Work closely with marketing and eCommerce teams to enhance customer journeys
- Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
Requirements
Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, Hands-on experience or familiarity with the following is highly valued:
- Customer Data & Personalization: BlueConic
- CRM / Marketing Automation: Klaviyo
- eCommerce Platforms: Shopify, PredictSpring, BentoBox
- Data & Integration: Google BigQuery
- Analytics & Visualization: Tableau, ThoughtSpot, * 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in DTC or eCommerce
- Strong understanding of consumer data, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing
- Experience working with CDPs, CRM systems, and digital commerce platforms
- Proven ability to convert data insights into product strategies and business outcomes
- Experience in Agile development environments
- Strong analytical skills (SQL or data querying tools preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Nice to Have
- Background in retail, consumer goods, or omnichannel commerce
- Experience with personalization engines and experimentation frameworks
- Knowledge of data modeling and customer identity resolution
