Senior Software Engineer (AI Agents)

A high-growth AI startup in NYC is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their founding team to help build a next-gen platform that's transforming how manufacturing operations communicate, coordinate, and scale. You'll own meaningful technical problems on the platform, from intelligent workflow architecture and real-time data systems to the full-stack interfaces that make complex floor-level operations feel seamless. As a senior technical voice on an early team, you'll have real ownership over the product, architecture, and engineering culture, with a direct line to customers and leadership. If you've built AI-powered systems end to end and want to do it 0 ? 1 at a company bringing modern AI to one of the world's oldest industries, this one's worth a look., * Architect and build end-to-end AI systems, including workflow orchestration, tool use, and multi-step automation pipelines built for complex manufacturing environments

• Build full-stack product features across the platform using Python, React, and TypeScript
• Design and integrate LLM-powered features that enable intelligent, autonomous operational workflows
• Develop tooling and dashboards for monitoring system behavior, workflow execution, and platform health
• Build scalable backend infrastructure to support real-time data pipelines and operational data
• Work closely with manufacturing customers to translate real production pain points into product capabilities
• Collaborate with leadership on product direction and contribute to the technical culture of the engineering team

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience building AI systems end to end, including orchestration, tool calling, and multi-agent coordination
• Strong full-stack skills in Python, TypeScript, and React
• Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure at scale
• Comfort owning problems across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
• Ability to drive technical decisions and collaborate effectively in a fast-moving environment

Nice to Have

• Background in agentic frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
• Experience in industrial tech, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or IIoT
• Startup or 0 ? 1 product experience

• Own meaningful technical problems on a platform where AI is the core product, not a feature
