Job description
We are seeking a Full Time Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support for end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, printers and network issues. This position requires availability for some nights and weekends as needed., * Provide desktop support for Windows/macOS operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist with system updates, installations, and maintenance.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolutions.
- Support remote and on-site users with technical issues.
- Document issues, resolutions, and technical processes.
- Collaborate with the IT team on projects and improvements.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common desktop applications.
- Experience with Active Directory, remote administration tools, and ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or similar) are a plus.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, or remote management tools.
- Self-motivated with active listening skills.
- Action oriented hands on self-starter that prefers to be pro active instead of reactive.
