Job description
We are seeking a D365 F&O Solution Architect is responsible for end-to-end solution definition, design, and governance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management implementations in healthcare provider, payer, and life sciences environments across the USA and India.
The role combines architecture leadership, domain consulting, and delivery oversight to ensure compliant, scalable, and high-quality solutions for multi-entity, multi-country healthcare organizations. Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall D365 F&O/F&SCM solution architecture for healthcare clients - hospitals, clinic networks, diagnostics, pharmacies, payers, and life sciences - covering finance, supply chain, procurement, projects, and shared services.
- Translate healthcare business requirements into scalable F&O designs including integrations, data, and security.
- Lead discovery and fit-gap workshops with clinical, operations, finance, and IT stakeholders in USA and India, aligning solution design with local regulatory, tax, and compliance requirements.
- Define environment, deployment, and ALM strategy for multi-region programmes including localisation for US GAAP/IRS, Indian GST, TDS/TCS, and statutory reporting.
- Design and govern integrations between D365 F&O and EHR/EMR, HIS, LIS, pharmacy, and insurance/payer systems using DMF, dual write, APIs, and Azure services.
- Drive data architecture and migration strategy: CoA harmonisation, item/master data, vendor/contract data, and patient billing financial data with appropriate controls and anonymisation.
- Define security, role-based access, and SoD aligned to healthcare processes and compliance needs (HIPAA principles, internal controls, audit).
- Provide design governance for customisations and extensions - ensuring use of standard capabilities, ISVs, and Microsoft best practices to minimise technical debt.
- Act as solution authority across the delivery lifecycle - managing design risks, change requests, and cross-workstream dependencies (finance, supply chain, pharmacy, projects, integration, data, testing).
- Support pre-sales for healthcare accounts: solution proposals, RFP/RFI responses, estimation, solution walkthroughs, and industry-specific demos.
- Act as trusted advisor to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and clinical operations leadership, shaping roadmaps for finance transformation, shared services, procurement consolidation, and cost optimisation.
- Mentor functional and technical teams in USA and India; foster reusable healthcare templates (process maps, configuration blueprints, data templates, test packs)., * Implement solution architecture by building components and custom designs while maintaining technical integrity.
- Identify, analyse, recommend, and implement improvements in system architectures.
- Perform technical feasibility and impact analysis; make recommendations for software architecture or solution/product selection.
- Lead and participate in new technology adoption in ERP/CRM; conduct design reviews.
- Understand current operational frameworks and how solutions will be managed through and after implementation.
- Support deal pursuits - ensure proposed solutions offer a winning value proposition; lead due diligence phases to validate and revise solutions as needed.
- Supervise software architects to develop system recommendation documents through research, evaluation, and technology selection.
- Develop and enhance the ERP/CRM practice using expertise in enterprise solutions technologies.

- Ensure alignment of high-level architecture with client needs and business logic; review designs prepared by architects.
- Ensure technical integration ability and requirements compliance, especially in multi-group/multi-vendor programmes.
- Provide guidance around usage of patterns and anti-patterns in the solution.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, automation, and risk reduction.
- Provide best-in-class technology options to customers with detailed examples and case studies.
Project Control & Review
- Perform architecture design reviews and define project-specific quality metrics.
- Identify opportunities for cost/time/asset optimisation in complex projects.
- Provide advice to teams facing complex technical issues during delivery.
- Review outputs to ensure non-functional requirements (NFRs) are met.
Knowledge Management & Capability Development
- Identify training needs and conduct internal sessions to address them.
- Update collateral in the knowledge management repository.
- Cultivate domain expertise to provide optimised solutions to customers.
People Management
- Support project managers in identifying team training needs.
- Conduct technical training and mentoring on projects.
- Support technical evaluation of internal and external candidates.

Alliance Management
- Identify alliance partners based on service offerings and client requirements.
- Identify areas for joint GTM with partners; develop complementary toolsets.
- Maintain partner relationships and act as the technical POC for the specific technology/solution area.
- Define problem statements for customers; analyse application/technology landscape and arrive at best-fit solution options.
- Analyse cost vs. benefits of solution options.
- Define the technology/architecture roadmap for the client.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Participate in external forums (seminars, paper presentations) to showcase capabilities and insights.
- Engage with customers and partners around innovative ideas, industry trends, and new technologies.
- Identify reusable components, accelerators, and design patterns across accounts.
- Create white papers, reports, and research documents.
- Develop collaterals for proposals; conduct client workshops to support the sales team.
- Compare designs and propose appropriate technology solutions based on RFP inputs.
- Calculate and present estimates to management for go/no-go decisions.
- Anchor proposal development with cross-linkages across competency units to arrive at coherent solutions with clear differentiators.

Requirements
- 13-15 years of overall IT/ERP experience; 10+ years on Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O/F&SCM.
- 5+ years focused on healthcare or life sciences clients.
- 3-5 years in a Solution Architect or Senior Solution Architect role on large, multi-entity or multi-country D365 F&O programmes.
- Strong experience with end-to-end implementations covering finance, procurement, inventory/warehousing, and project accounting for hospitals, clinic chains, diagnostics networks, or healthcare service organizations.
- Proven track record with USA and/or India rollouts including localisation for US and Indian finance, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Demonstrable experience integrating with EMR/EHR, HIS, LIS, pharmacy, or insurance/payer platforms and healthcare ISVs.
- Consulting or partner background with substantial client-facing responsibilities including steering committees and executive stakeholder management.
- Lead technical strategies and architecture for system-wide solutions; develop and document architecture strategies using industry-standard integrated architecture models.
- Design, analyse, document, and develop technical architecture for large enterprise-level applications using independent judgment.
