Java Production Support

We are seeking a Java Production Support to support production systems during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful Web Services, ensuring reliability, stability, and continuous uptime of critical CareFirst applications.

Required Skills

• Provide production support for mission-critical applications during off-hours.
• Troubleshoot system and application issues in real-time to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with day-shift teams for incident follow-up and documentation.
• Manage deployments, health checks, and system monitoring activities.
• Participate in on-call escalation when required.

• 5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
• Solid experience in production support environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exposure to Big Data platforms - a plus.

• Work the overnight shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM EST).
• Participate in rotating weekend support schedules.
• Attend an onsite second-round interview in either Washington, DC or Reston, VA (no exceptions).
• Attend 2-3 weeks of onsite training in Washington, DC or Reston, VA before transitioning to the regular support schedule.
• Work onsite once per month following training.
