Another is three hours into a migration nobody wants to review. A third is reasoning about an architecture decision using the same settings you use for autocomplete. They have never met. They do not know they are on the same team. And you are still asking the only question the industry taught you to ask: which one is the best model? It was always the wrong question. Picking a favourite model makes as much sense as hiring one engineer and asking them to be great at everything. And here's the part we keep skipping: coding got faster, nothing else did. Requirements are still gathered in meetings nobody remembers. Reviews still queue behind one senior engineer. CI still fails at 2 AM for reasons unrelated to your change. We automated the one stage that was never the bottleneck and then acted surprised when delivery didn't move. Every serious team has a depth chart: who starts, who specialises, who comes on when the situation suits them. Your AI stack needs one too. A quick, decisive model owns the well-understood work at a pace no one else can match. A deep reasoner takes the gnarly refactor and the room to think it through. An agent works the failing test suite overnight and hands back a diff with its reasoning attached. Another turns a vague ticket into real acceptance criteria, then checks whether the pull request met them. None of them is the best model. Together they outperform any of them alone. This session is about building that depth chart which mind starts at which position, how they hand work down the line across the whole lifecycle, and how you keep the entire roster inside a boundary your auditor will sign off on. ## Speaker ### [Aditya Dua](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/@aditya-dua) Senior Manager, Field Services, SAARC, GitHub ## Related talks at this congress - [Teaching AI Coding Agents to Build It Right the First Time](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/conference-india-2026/sessions/1995-teaching-ai-coding) — Sajeetharan Sinnathurai - [Build the Agentic SDLC: From Idea to Production with AI Agents](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/conference-india-2026/sessions/2029-build-the-agentic) — Dhruv Paliwal, Pradeep Kumar - [Beyond the Model Wars: What to Learn, Unlearn, and Focus On](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/conference-india-2026/sessions/2027-beyond-the-model) — Dhiwakar Kusuma - [Your New Teammates: Architecting a Multi-Agent Workforce](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/conference-india-2026/sessions/2005-your-new-teammates) — Henk Boelman ## Watch remotely Can’t make it to Bengaluru?
