Have you ever used Ruby on Rails with its scaffolding system? Or maybe Laravel with its own code generator? There is always something that helps you to write less code - nuxi, go-swagger, Hygen, and many others... but does it really? Everybody knows "code-first" or "design-first" and even the "specification-first" approaches when we talk about microservices and APIs, but what if we can expand it to the whole system not only for service communication, let's dive in! We will be focused on how specifications and proper code generation can help engineers with: - reducing the risks of bugs and misconfiguration, - designing applications regardless of framework tool limitations, - writing less boilerplate code. Finally, and most importantly - how to start using this approach today. ## Speaker ### [Artem Manchenkov](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/@artem-manchenkov) Software Engineer @ Microsoft ## Related talks at this congress - [Grappling With Clunky Old Software?
