As a web developer, you want to be able to take advantage of the opportunities to create novel UIs and content for your users, but how can you do this in a manageable way? Introducing the Device Posture API, an upcoming web standard that enables you to do just that – allowing you to amazingly enhance your content in a robust and familiar way. We’ll show you an example web app, and explain how you can take advantage of the best each foldable device has to offer. Along the way, we’ll talk about the importance of collaborative efforts and open standards, and – most importantly – show you how easy it is for you to get involved in shaping the development of the Web Platform! ## Speaker ### [Matthew Atkinson](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/@matthew-atkinson) Head of Web Standards, Samsung R&D Institute UK ## Related talks at this congress - [What’s New and What’s Next in Web UI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/25-what-s-new-and-what) — Cleyra Uzcategui - [View-Transition-API: Gamechanger for hybrid app-development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/294-view-transition-api) — Sascha Lehmann - [Generative AI power on the web: making web apps smarter with WebGPU and WebNN](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/447-generative-ai-power) — Christian Liebel - [Build for users, not platforms](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/440-build-for-users-not) — Anna Leushchenko, Oleksandr Leushchenko
