# Home Office Health and Productivity Crisis: 2/3 Working Unhealthily - New Regulations Unveiled!

## Description

While often around €700/month/employee is invested in the office, employees are left alone in mobile work.
The result: 2/3  of employees work from home in unhealthy conditions, significantly impacting productivity, health, loyalty, and compliance. 
•	sickness rates doubled in the last two years, mainly due to musculoskeletal disorders (German Federal Statistical Office, DAK 2024)
•	-25% productivity due to bad working environments (Fraunhofer Institute)
•	but also declining employee loyalty; reduction in office space 

On top: The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) published new guidelines for working from home:

We will examine the current regulations, their impact on health and productivity, and what can be done better, as the employees are the most important asset and key to success.
