As software developers, we have the knowledge and the opportunity to reduce the emissions of our applications. It's all about mindset, knowledge and tooling. In this short and intensive introduction, we will gain an insight into the principles and design patterns for developing sustainable software (specifically: energy and hardware efficiency, carbon intensity, demand shifting) and get to know a selection of tools and SDKs for this purpose. ## Speaker ### [Aydin Mir Mohammadi](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/@aydin-mir-mohammadi) software architect & cto bei bluehands ## Related talks at this congress - [Minimising the Carbon Footprint of Workloads](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/222-minimising-the) — Michael Mueller - [It's not only about the footprint](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/371-it-s-not-only-about) — Carsten Windler - [Times of (climate) crisis - How and why sustainable software is a must!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/227-times-of-climate) — Hendrik Lösch - [More efficient software for more efficient microchips](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2024/sessions/146-more-efficient) — Andreas Kaldun
