The fact is, it's easier to get people to shut up than to listen. Proper and active listening means taking a step back and allowing yourself to be surprised by the other person. It means not drawing quick conclusions, and thus ultimately leads to better decision-making. It is therefore hardly surprising that, according to Prof Lyman K. Steil, 51% of good communication depends on the listener. And active listening is a particularly important skill in joint project work. Targeted questions, skilful paraphrasing, interpreting and reflecting are the basis of effective collaboration and innovation. Listening means wanting to understand. Even if this sometimes means an uncomfortable confrontation or dealing with a conflict. SO IN THIS WORKSHOP WE ASK OURSELVES THE QUESTIONS ... − How does active listening succeed in everyday project work? What framework conditions are needed for this? − How do listeners succeed in asking constructive questions and reflecting? − What happens when conflicts arise from misunderstandings, and how can this even be an opportunity for project work? How do I skilfully address irritations and create a space for development instead of a rupture? Masterclasses are available as a paid upgrade.
