# Building a Thriving Web Development Community in a Large Tech Company

In a tech company with over 4,000 employees and numerous teams dedicated to web development, fostering a sense of community and collaboration is essential. In this session, we will share our journey of forming and nurturing a vibrant web development community since 2019:

- Learn how we started the web development community to connect developers spread across many teams.
- Discover the bottom-up organization approach that empowers developers to take initiative and lead.

- Explore our regular online meetups held every four weeks, featuring presentations and show-and-tell sessions.
- Understand how these meetups enable knowledge sharing and help developers tackle tricky problems together.

- Hear about our special on-site community events, including hackathon challenges.
- See how connecting with fellow developers facing similar challenges benefits everyone involved.
- Gain insights from our yearly survey about the community and technology, which helps us continuously improve .
