The world of coders and developers is changing drastically as we speak. In 2026, real innovation isn't just about developing new apps. It’s about:
- Rescuing investments that have already cost millions of euros
- Optimising performance without compromising the user experience.
- Bridging the gap between traditional stability and modern front-end demands.

We no longer develop solutions; we simply manage overkill. AI is currently exacerbating this situation considerably. Simply put: It has never been easier to produce complex rubbish.

At the WAD 2026, Sergej Reznik (Managing Director of developer agency Project Joker) is going to take a close look at AI-assisted processes "from product idea to shipping", specifically shining a light on the hidden challenges of AI implementation for developer teams.

Ending in a quick live proof of concept, Sergej showcases how AI-only coding from a year ago compares to the current situation and how much has changed, with the goal of AI being our co-pilot, enabling developer teams to be more efficient rather than producing more complex rubbish.
