In this talk, we'll see how in a matter of seconds, thanks to the contributions of around 1,000 developers since the framework was created, we can easily have a robust API with auto-generated documentation, via the Swagger UI, whether for a REST or GraphQL API. Through concrete examples and feedback, we'll explore how to contribute to API Platform and use it in your projects, whatever the complexity of your APIs. We'll look at extending automatic documentation, adding custom filters, and integrating your own custom data sources. ## Speaker ### [Vincent Amstoutz](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/@vincent-amstoutz) Lead Developer @Les-Tilleuls.coop / OSS contributor ## Related talks at this congress - [For the REST of us: API First and Conway’s Law](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2026-europe-virtual-stage/sessions/1538-for-the-rest-of-us) — Michael Jaeger - [Contract-First Frontend: Scaling Reliable UIs with OpenAPI and AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2026-europe-virtual-stage/sessions/1517-contract-first) — Violina Popova - [From Pipelines to Platforms: How DevOps Automation Becomes a Force Multiplier at Scale](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2026-europe-virtual-stage/sessions/1545-from-pipelines-to) — Anna Ozor - [One Platform Could Not Fit Them All](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2026-europe-virtual-stage/sessions/1582-one-platform-could) — Artem Lajko, Annika Opitz
