# Are Your APIs Ready for AI Agents

## Description

Agentic systems need to perform actions and get access to external data. They rely on tools for this, and these tools rely on APIs. Your AI Agent is probably only as good as the APIs(tools) it has access to. 

We now have a new class of API Consumers and are dealing with problems we have never had to deal with at scale before.

Humans and Machines perceive and understand information differently. This means that how a human developer would behave, extract information, and use an API might be slightly different from how an Agent would do the same. Intelligent systems cannot compensate for the shortcomings in your APIs; you need to ensure that your APIs are easily discoverable by agents and optimized for utmost agentic usability.

This talk focuses on getting your APIs ready for AI Agents' use and is for anyone building APIs, agentic systems, or just curious about what this transformational shift means for the API ecosystem.
