# Claude, MCP and n8n, or: How to Automate Your Day with AI-powered Workflows

AI assistants are no longer just chat interfaces. When connected to real systems, they can become powerful automation engines that actually do work for you.

In this 30-minute deep dive, you will learn how to combine Claude with the n8n MCP server to build intelligent, prompt-driven workflows that interact with real developer tooling. We will start with a short introduction to n8n and the Model Context Protocol, focusing on how MCP enables large language models to safely and reliably trigger actions in external systems

From there, we will build a concrete, end-to-end example together. Using prompts instead of traditional glue code, we will create an automated workflow that sets focus time blockers in Outlook. The session will demonstrate how natural language instructions can orchestrate complex automation steps, combine reasoning with execution, and integrate seamlessly into existing development workflows.

This talk is highly practical and aimed at everyone who wants to get rid of distracting and repetitive tasks in their daily business. By the end of the session, you will walk away with a clear mental model of MCP, hands-on inspiration for using n8n as an AI automation backbone, and concrete ideas you can apply immediately to automate parts of your own daily work.
