## About the Role

* Strong experience in automated RESTful API testing
 * Proven experience working in Agile environments
 * Hands-on experience with CI tools such as Jenkins
 * Strong advocacy for quality engineering principles and best practices
 * Excellent communication skills, with experience resolving cross-team issues
 * Solid programming knowledge and coding best practices
 * Technical expertise in JavaScript, Java, RestAssured, and Cucumber
 * Strong experience with Gatling and Scala
 * Experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch) and AWS SDK

Desirable Skills

 * Automated UI testing experience
 * Familiarity with frameworks such as Node.js and Playwright
 * Experience with contract testing tools such as PACT or Karate
 * Understanding of security testing principles

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Automation QA Engineer to join a high-performing Agile team, working on the design and delivery of robust testing solutions across modern cloud-based systems.

Role Overview

 * Design, communicate, and implement effective test strategies and approaches
 * Collaborate with Tech Leads to understand requirements and define test coverage
 * Develop and contribute to automated testing frameworks (functional and non-functional)
 * Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and validate fixes
 * Produce clear, concise test reports demonstrating product quality
 * Communicate progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders including Delivery Managers and Architects
 * Act as the primary QA representative within an Agile team, promoting a "whole team" approach to quality
 * Establish and drive QA best practices within the team
